Use it at your own risks as absolutely no check is done on what is sent to the remote shell.calibration [start=npulse, duration, random|periodic | stop] The 'calibration' command asks the acquisition process to start or stop a calibration sequence. the start option takes three arguments defining the number of pulses (npulse) and the duration of the pulses in ms (duration). The calibration signal can be random or periodic. Plesae refer to the osiris documentation for the description of the pseudo random sequence. channels [channel list] Without argument, the 'channels' command prints the channels to be changed at once when using a command of the form 'parameter@=value'. In this case, '@' is replaced by any matching channel. The syntax for the argument of 'channels' is: chan1,chan2-chan3,chan5 as in: channels 0-2,6-8 The next times the sytax 'parameter@=value' will be used, the channels 0, 1, 2, 6, 7, and 8 will be changed at once. Some special keywords are recognised by this command: 'all' or '*' to mask all the channels 'none' to unmask all the channelsdata [record=start, stop] [list|delete=device, start[,stop]] [dump|send=path] [extract=device, start[,stop[,chanlist]] device : the device name (flash|storage|auto) start : the start time for the data list/delete/record request (see 'timeformat') stop : the stop time for the data listing/recording request chanlist : a list of channel to be extracted (see help channels to get the syntax) path : path name of the file to be sent. If no 'stop' is given to the record option, the recording wont stop. Entering record=stop will stop the acquisition (in 'window' mode). The dump/send commands print the file content, prepended by file size written as four bytes in the network byte order. The extract commands dumps the required data according to the time specification and the channel list. If no channel is selected, only the time and information frames are sent. This command requests a low level format of the flash storage area for the next boot and initiates the reboot sequence. The 'debug' command switches the debug state of osh. When in debug mode lots of messages are issued about the internal state of osh. This mode should not be used during normal operations as it may break the input/output compatibility.dispatchcommand stationlist osh_command Remotely execute an osh command on all the given stations.See 'help stationlist' for the station list syntax. The 'diff' command prints the working parameters which differ from the DAS ones.disk [flush | runftp | [u]mount=storage|backup | update=storage|backup] The 'disk' command, whithout argument prints the disk informations. The 'flush' options asks the disk manager to transfer the data from the flash memory area to the disk storage area. 'runftp' starts a new ftp client session, if the configuration allows it. The 'erasedata' options asks the disk manager to erase ALL the data on the storage device. USE WITH CARE. The mount/umount command asks diskmgr to mount or umount the specified device. The mounting request is published by diskmgr as an External mount request. The 'update' option asks disk manager to update the device state information.error [last|reset] 'error' allows to manage the LIFO error stack of sysd. The error stack is used to collect the critical error messages sent by the Osiris software. The messages can be printed using the 'error' command without argument. The 'last' option prints last recorded message (the first on the stack) and removes it from the stack. Use 'reset' to empty the stack.Dumps the FIR coefficients used for each decimation step. Start a DSP update using the file /live/OSIRIS.BRT. This command should not be use during normal operations. The 'fs' command dumps the sampling frequency values for each channel as reported by the 'acquisit' process. These values are the observed samplingfrequency read from the DSP module. The 'fs' command is usefull after validating a sampling frequency change.During the next boot, the hard disks will be checked for errors (if the ext2 filesystem is used). This operation can be long (about 10 minutes). Note that the boot itself requires a 'reboot' or 'coldstart' command to be sent. The 'getinfos' command dumps the information pipes for all the processes except configuration. The 'getparams' command prints all the parameters with their value in the input/output format 'parameter=value'.gps [on|off] The 'gps' command controls the gps power and prints the complete gps status. The 'health' command dumps the health monitoring status of the DAS.help [command] The 'help' command displays on-line help. To specify information on a particular command use the syntax: help command The 'help' command is ignored when in non-interactive session.Dump the 'infos' pipe for the given process.homogeneity Test the homogeneity of the network. The homogeneous stations are accessed by default when stationlist is 'net'. See 'stationlist'host [hostname] The 'host' is usefull when osh cannot determine your hostname. Using 'host' you are able to force osh to see you as 'hostaname' to use 'hostaname' as the default target for the 'monitor' command or 'data send' command.Print the list of the other hosts visible in the Osiris network. The 'identity' command displays the serial number of the Osiris DAS and the IP address of the eth0 interface.log [add=message|extract=device, start, stop, tag] The file osiris.log contains various information including system health state, GPS status, disk status... The 'log' command allows to filter the logfile using a time range and a tag. It also provide a simple way for the user to add its own messages, these messages are tagged USERLOG. device: storage or flash start, stop: the time range (see 'timeformat') tag: message tag filter, may be '*', STATUS, GPS, DISK, USERLOG This command asks sysd extend the time before reboot when the main battery is disconnected. The normal timeout is 5 seconds, the extended timeout is 2 minutes. After 2 minutes the timeout returns to 5 secondes. This command asks sysd process to enter in lowpower state. gps and seismo are turned off, diskmgr and acquisit are stopped, and the DAI module is removed, turning off the DSP.The 'lta' command dumps the lta value for each channel.masscentering [start=npulse, duration, random|periodic | stop] The 'masscentering' command asks the acquisition process to start or stop a mass centering sequence. the start option takes three arguments defining the number of pulses (npulse) and the duration of the pulses in ms (duration).monitor [type=minmax|lta|data] [channels=chanlist] [shift=0-23] [host=hostname] [port=portnumber] [start|stop] The 'monitor' command allows to send some data in TITAN2 format through the network. 'monitor' accepts a number of parameters, they can be defined all at once but start|stop must be the last on the command line. Without argument, 'monitor' prints the current status of the monitor. type: defines the type of data to be sent channels: defines the channels to be monitored (see help channels to get help on the sytax) shift: right-shift the data before sending the data (this is a destructive compression) host: the host on which the data are to be sent. When logged via telnet, the default host is set to the remote client port: the port to connect on the host, the default value is 2004. Note that some of the monitor parameters are store in the DAS parameter list. Note that when connected to osh as a remote client, all the parameters should be specified when starting a 'monitor' command.network [netparam=[value]] ... The 'network' command provides an easy way to configure Osiris. If the value is omitted, the parameter is unset. Please remember that the strings containing spaces must be quoted with '"' Empty strings are denoted by "" The ISP parameters are defined by ISP_PHONE, ISP_USER, and ISP_PASS. If the parameter name makes no sense, just let untouched, the default values should just work fine. The modem initialization string is defined by MODEM_INIT, see the manual of mgetty(8) and the -m option. Note that the DAS must be rebooted in order to validate the changes. The parameters are set with commands of the form: paramater=value If paramater ends with '@', then the channel (see help 'channels') mask is used to set the corresponding parameters at once. The parameters are printed with commands of the form: parameter? The channel mask also applies for printing parameters. Parameters may be reset to their default value with commands of the form: paramater= The channel mask also applies. To really send the parameters to the DAS, see 'validate'.The 'paramlist' command dumps the list of the parameters with their acceptable range.ping processname This commands check that the specified Osiris process is running and acnowledges commands. This command asks sysd process to start all the Osiris processes that still do not run.propagateparameters stationlist Copy the local parameters to the given station list. See 'help stationlist' for the station list syntax.propagatetasks stationlist Replace the task list of the remote stations by the local one. See 'help stationlist' for the station list syntax. The 'quit' command terminates the osh session. If some parameter are still pending (not sent with 'activate' but changed), then a message asking for the user to decide what to do with these parameters before the end of the session. This behaviour is only valid in interactive mode.Asks the system to reboot in 30 seconds. The 'reread' command replaces the working parameters with the one store in the DAS. This lowers the 'pending' flag (see 'status'/'quit').Check some major features for error and inconsistencysettime [unixtime|auto] Send unixtime to the digitizer. If unixtime is 'auto', then the system time is sent to the digitizer. This command is ignored by the DSP in Osiris.sleep duration(s) Wait duration seconds ignoring timeout. The 'sta' command dumps the sta value for each channel.Print the list of the other stations visible in the Osiris network. The list of station can be specified by a coma separated list of StationNames. The special word '*' expands the station list to all the hosts (not StationNames) seen by comd while the special word 'net' expands the station list to all the hosts compatible with the calling station. The 'status' command prints out the current state of the variables controlling the session.Restart the telnet/ssh server.switchconsole login|shell|pppin|pppout|ppplocal Switch the console handler: login: start a login prompt on the serial line shell: directly start a shell on the serial line pppin: enter in the ppp-server mode, wait for a call pppout: connect to the ISP then switch in pppin mode ppplocal: start a ppp client/server over a NULL-modem cable syslog [tail|clean|kernel] The 'syslog' command print the entire file or the 10 last lines of the /var/log/messages file (with the tail option). The 'clean' option will cancel the /var/log/messages. When invoked with 'kernel' option, the kernel ring buffer is dumped and cleared, as would be done with 'dmesg -c'.tag duration, name Set the tag for the given duration. task list|add=when, what|del=#ID The 'task' command manages the task scheduler of sysd. Tasks can be listed, added, or removed. The 'when' argument can be a fully specified time (see timeformat) but can contain the '*' character wheich matches any value (e.g. *.*.*.*.0.0 runs the task when the minute and the second are zero). 'when' can also be 'startup' to run the task when sysd starts, this can be usefull for tasks such as turnig on or off the seismometer or the gps, starting the recording for a continuous mode, sending a calibration command at startup etc. For cyclic tasks, use 'cycle=N' to run the task N times per hour, the cycle is always synchronised on the minute zero of the hour. This is usefull to schedule radio on/off tasks in a newtork, to force the radio of all the station to be on at the same time. The presently recognised actions ('what') are: seismo on|off gps on|off radio on|off switchconsole pppout switchconsole pppin switchconsole ppplocal switchconsole shell switchconsole login setparam parameter value checkprocess processName powerup lowpower flush calibration record start stop [preSeismo] Note that the DAS should be in configured with RecordingMode=window to accept a 'record' command. The time format syntax is 'YYYY:MM:DD:HH:MM:SS.SSS'. Some ending part of the time string may be missing, in this case, the default is 1970/01/01-00:00:00.000, only the year has to be specified. Some special keywords are also recognised: origin=1970/01/01, never=2038/01/01, now=current time The 'timeinfo' command allows to control the consistency of the time management in the DAS. The command publishes : system time last gps time RTC time last gps-DAS lagUse this in socket-mode only. Set the timeout to 1 second.Use this in socket-mode only. Set the timeout to 60 seconds.trigger [mode=mode|channels=chanlist|list=device, start, stop|clean=device|now] Prints the list of triggered events stored on the specified device. mode can be 'stalta' 'custom' 'extern' 'window' or 'continuous' device can be 'flash' or 'storage' When 'continuous' mode is selected, the recording starts immediately, and when the mode changes to any other value, the recording stops immediately and will start only on request.Without option, 'trigger' just prints the trigger parameters. Use the parameters 'preEvent', 'postEvent' to set the other trigger parameters. The channel list defines which channels are actually used to detect events. The keyword 'now' is used to generate an extern-type trigger dated with the system time (for scheduled triggers). The 'validate' command sends the working parameters to the DAS and lower the 'pending' flag (see status/quit).Print the Osiris software version string. print the IP address of each station in the list. connect StationName|hostid|IP connect to the first matching StationName, hostid, or IP. connecthost IP connect to the given host. connecthostid hostid connect to the given hostid. connectstation StationName connect to the given name. dispatch osh_command [>> outfile] remotely execute the osh_command on all selected hosts.print the command list or the help message for the given command.print the history of the commands. print the hostid of each station in the list. key [secret] define or print the current key. The key is used for each transaction. The parameter 'password' defines the key on the station side, the key is used for both www server and osh server. After the key has been defined in oclient, it will be used for each transaction for each station. Thus, if the key for a station is different, or not defined, the command 'key' must be used to change the key in oclient. The special key 'none' indicates that no key is used for oclient. The same applies for the parameter 'password'.rescan and print the current station list. osh_command [> outfile]|[>> outfile]|[| filter] remotely execute the osh_command on the connected host. paramload filename In connected mode only: upload the parameters from 'filename' to the remote DAS. paramstore filename In connected mode only: store the parameters in 'filename'. selectname regular_expression The regular expression defined for the name is and'ed with the one defined for the hostid. Use 'selectname .' to match all the station names. Refer to the 'regex' man page. selecthostid regular_expression The regular expression defined for the name is and'ed with the one defined for the hostid. Use 'selecthostid .' to match all the station names. Refer to the 'regex' man page.switch between long and short timeout. If the Osiris station is long to answer (because of the line quality or because of the the large number of file to process ), a timeout longer than 10 seconds should be used.
